Patch 1 (P2.5.2.5)

Fixes and Minor Enhancements

  1. Light boxes can be opened in Internet Explorer 8 after opening a diagram from within a light box (SUPPORT-4927)
  2. Process diagrams can be navigated to via their preview images in light boxes in Chrome (SUPPORT-4681, SUPPORT-4927)

Compatibility

  1. By default, Chrome browser 37.0.2062.103 m renders some fonts differently to previous versions. This affects some fonts in Modelpedia, as well as many other websites. In order to revert the fonts to their correct defaults, perform the following:
    1. Open the Flags configuration in Chrome by navigating to chrome://flags/
    2. Disable DirectWrite (click the Enable link so that it reads Disable, as below)
    3. Restart Chrome by closing it or clicking on the Relaunch Now button

Known Issues, Warnings and Limitations

  1. Users cannot delete permission granting Context Authority Roles (CAR) which they are a member of, if deleting the CAR would result in the user’s loss of the delete permission
  2. Search inputs in Modeler no longer recognise regular expression (regex) strings, but accept wildcards (*) instead
  3. User visibility has been adjusted so that two members of a group cannot see each other, unless they are also members of the same organisation
  4. The Users page in the Administration Portal may not be available when there are more than 20,000 Modelpedia users registered on the server
  5. In the Modeler Repository Workspace, any user property windows which are open when the Repository Explorer’s Show All Areas option is toggled will be closed
  6. Times recorded in Modeler may be out by an hour. Due to the manner in which systems times are recorded in Windows, it is possible that the daylight savings modifier on timestamps has been dropped or incorrectly added. Owing to the nature of the issue, it is impossible to automatically determine and correct the time offset
  7. Only one library can be published on a Modelpedia server at a time. Other publication requests will be queued and processed in the order in which they were received
  8. Only one published library can be initialised at a time. Other libraries which need to be initialised are queued and processed when the current initialisation process is completed
  9. Toggling status colours for published Modelpedia websites only affects the appearance of the names of items in the Types and Catalog views. Diagrams appear in published form exactly as presented in Modeler
  10. When switching between full screen and windowed mode in browsers, it is possible that diagram tabs may become desynchronised from their intended positions and wander off the screen. Performing a refresh of the web browser will revert the tabs to their correct positions
  11. External Document References to files (file://) do not open in Chrome browser. This Chrome browser limitation can be worked around by installing browser plugins
  12. As in previous versions of Modelpedia, when using any versions of Internet Explorer greater than 9, the Modelpedia server must be added to trusted sites in order to be able to open External Document Reference links to network drive locations (\\servername\)
  13. Changing published libraries’ Release states and Show Revisions settings will cause the cache for the published library to reset, making the next visit to the site slightly slower
  14. Hyperlink labels which exceed 72 characters are truncated
  15. Adding compressed (.zip files) to libraries as Content can cause the libraries to fail publication
  16. Using large JPEG images in models can cause degraded publishing performance and increase published content size, and is therefore not recommended. Use smaller images of the BMP or PNG type instead of JPEG where possibl
