You might not realise it now, but you are looking at Australia’s next big software success story.

Our software has been recognised and used by some of Australia’s largest organisations including AirServices, BT Financial Group, Qantas, Sydney Water and Westpac. We don’t wish to brag but we have helped big companies get better.

We know we are onto something pretty special and we are looking for equally special talent to propel us forward.

We don’t just provide IT services. We create software that changes large companies for the better. We delve into our clients existing knowledge, pick out their problems, and work together to develop solutions that drive continuous improvement. Understanding the DNA of an organisation is essential to bringing about change.

We’re not looking for an ordinary software developer. Holocentric wants a person that’s smart, is keen and responsible, gets things done, manages tasks and can mentor others.

This role involves extensive use of .NET and related Microsoft technologies, including Azure, as well as thin client and desktop applications. Above all, you’ll be applying Object-Oriented principles and work in an agile fashion.

The breakdown of work is likely to be about 50% coding, with the remainder split between mentoring other colleagues and management activities, such as estimation, specification and task tracking.

Do you have a breadth of knowledge across-the-board and at least one deep area of expertise? Do you like reviewing? If you are one of those naturally curious individuals who improves things, works on side projects and learns new skills that are not necessarily part of your normal day job, then this role may be just for you. You enjoy sharing knowledge with team members, ask for help when needed, and at the end of the day have a passion for writing great code in a team environment.

You’ll learn our existing and emerging product frameworks so that they can be enhanced with integrity. You will be expected to organise work, participate and run design/review sessions, mentor others in your areas of expertise and report regularly on progress. With your help our business will continue to thrive so we can deliver even more amazing results to our customers.

In addition to writing code and testing it works, we developers provide a level of product support, help with technical issues and assist with troubleshooting. In essence, as well as making cool apps and technology, we continue to be responsible for what we’ve written and make sure it continues to operate.

Some of the perks for working in a small, dynamic company include: great culture, open offices, highly collaborative workplace, offsite company kick-off and planning sessions, weekly drinks and catch up, plus a real ability to help shape our product future. We also have a share option scheme, so you can participate in the success of the business.

We don’t believe in fixing people in rigid positions, but rather seek to match interest and capability. If you like a challenge, want to deliver exceptional results and seek to reach your potential we’d like to hear from you!

  • 2+ years of hands-on .NET and Visual Studio experience
