Qantas Engineering’s (QE) Project Marlin implemented a new computer system and business processes to manage the end-to-end process of aircraft maintenance within Qantas.
One of the most significant transformation projects in QE’s history, Project Marlin redesigned and standardised 512 business processes, reduced over 300 computer applications to around 30 and implemented new Maintenance, Repair and Operation (MRO) processes.
The Holocentric BMS was chosen by Qantas because of its flexibility and dynamic nature. Holocentric enabled QE to utilise one modelling platform to map business processes, develop training material, as well as document policies, procedures and work instructions. It also assisted in streamlining and simplifying the key phases of this large-scale project (strategy mapping, program planning and implementation).
Joanna Borysewicz, National Integration Manager for Qantas Catering shared her experience of using Holocentric to transform the catering division at our 2014 User Conference.
