As we step into the final quarter of the year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on our journey and look ahead to what the future holds. At Holocentric, we’re committed to providing our customers with innovative solutions, and we’d like to share our plans for the remainder of 2023 and offer a sneak peek into what’s coming in 2024.
Product R&D and Release Cadence
Over the last 9 months, Holocentric has invested in maturing and expanding our product research and development capabilities. We have invested in maturing our R&D practice, improving our product processes, and have more than doubled the R&D team. These investments are paying off, with our release cadence now at one release every month. This in turn allows us to better plan and deliver on our customer promise.
Remaining 2023 releases will introduce new sought-after features to Connect
With 4 releases remaining, customers can expect a number of new “big” features by the end of the year. For Connect, these include
- being able to easily identify all policies, risks, regulations, etc that relate to a process using a new Related Items tab
- a new Obligation item will enable organisations to capture regulatory and non-regulatory business obligations
- being able to add risks, controls, policies and regulations that are stored in other systems like Sharepoint or a risk management system
- being able to control view, edit and collaboration access based on Business Units
- being able to organise Process Streams into a taxonomy or hierarchy.
Taxonomies, process streams and more coming to Web Modeler
Newer features including those already in Connect will be made available in Web Modeler in October. These include:
- Process taxonomy, also know as process hierarchy or framework to organise processes
- Process Streams to capture end-to-end processes or value streams
- Improved user experience and seamlessness between editing and publishing content
- Updates to user permissions for Related Stakeholders of processes.
- New Obligation item and linking risks, controls, policies and regulations in other systems as per Connect above.
2024 focus on supporting operational risk management
With multiple high-profile cybersecurity incidents and the introduction of new operational risk regulation (CPS 230) in the financial services sector, Holocentric has started working with clients to help understand their reliance on key systems and data, and the risk exposure that they pose. Holocentric is uniquely placed to support this due to our extensive metamodel that covers and clarifies the interdependencies between processes, systems, data, facilities, etc.
Holocentric will be developing our operational risk management capability and features in the product in 2024. We are doing this in collaboration with our clients, and select operations and risk expert communities. Do reach out to us if this is a topic of interest to you and would like an opportunity to influence our product direction in this matter.
Thank you for your continued support of Holocentric.
